We have nine centres across Northumberland, from Wooler in the north to Ponteland in the south. We pride ourselves on offering a genuine 24 hour service, and on professional and individual care backed up by a wealth of experience and expertise.
As a practice, we are committed to ongoing investment in the training and development of our vets, nurses (we are an RCVS approved training practice) and support staff.
Farm Clinical Director
We are seeking an experienced farm vet to join our progressive farm team of 10 vets as Clinical Director in Northumberland. This is a fantastic opportunity, which will be fully supported working closely with other CDs and with leadership training provided. The caseload is predominantly beef and sheep, with a few dairy farms, and minimal TB testing. The farm team are supportive, friendly and committed to delivering a high level of clinical and client care. We work with a group of enthusiastic forward-thinking farmers which provides great job satisfaction
We deliver an exemplary level of service to farmers, in terms of both preventative and emergency animal care. Each farm branch is well equipped to include ultrasound scanners, semen testing kit and a courier lab service. Frequent farmer training events are provided to support farming enterprises. The practice continually strives to offer new farm services, the most recent of which is sheep and cattle AI.
Support will be provided to allow individuals to further develop clinical interests, facilitate career development and undertake further qualifications.
The practice is situated in a stunning location with coasts, castles and the Cheviot hills on your doorstep. With an OOH rota of 1:5, and a generous time off in lieu, you will have plenty of spare time to explore what Northumberland has to offer and achieve a good work-life balance.
