“I am very proud to be the Veterinary Nursing Director at CVS and my goal is to inspire each and every nurse to achieve their full potential, to feel fully valued and to feel passionate about their position and CVS as a whole.
Veterinary nurses are the cornerstone of our business and fundamental to our continued success and so I want to ensure that you receive the opportunities and support you need to enable you to build a long-term career with us.
Veterinary nursing is a unique career which enables you to make a difference to countless animals and their owners. Depending on the day, you could be an anaesthetist, radiographer, dispenser, dental hygienist, lab technician, phlebotomist, animal behaviourist (and tamer), client educator, surgical assistant, midwife, physical therapist, nutritionist, groomer, infection control officer, patient advocate and much more. I am very keen to use leading veterinary nurses to teach others, as I believe you become much more enthused when taught by an inspirational peer.
We have a wide range of opportunities for you too -
We have numerous RVNs working in roles that, years before, would naturally have gone to a veterinary surgeon. Many of our Clinical Directors and Regional Directors are RVNs and a nurse even sits on the executive board as Director of Product and Buying, all of which makes me feel that no ceiling exists to how far you can go as a Vet Nurse.”
