I am extremely excited to be involved in the development and running of the CVS Out of Hours service. We have a network of dedicated out of hours services across the country offering high quality emergency and critical care to a huge number of user practices and we need enthusiastic and dynamic team members to help deliver the service.
Our vision at CVS is to ensure that pet owners have access to an emergency service run by professionals committed to clinical excellence and client care. We want to support our our clinical teams to achieve their own goals to make sure they enjoy rewarding and sustainable careers with a great work life balance.
Working in Emergency Out of Hours services is a fantastic opportunity for vets and nurses who want to make a real difference to both owners and their pets at a critical moment in their lives. The caseload is varied and exciting offering the opportunities to grow in skills and confidence as a Veterinary Surgeon whilst working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
We will offer you support and encouragement in your development; through coaching, in-house training opportunities and a generous CPD package. The aim of our Out of Hours services is to offer a high standard of emergency and critical care treatment and so skill development in this area is core to our service. To help our teams achieve these standards our clinics are extremely well equipped, with a number of them achieving outstanding ECC awards in the practice standards scheme and the others working towards these awards.
Working in emergency and critical care may turn out to be a long term career choice for you due to the exciting and rewarding cases you see. Alternatively it may be an opportunity to spend a couple of years developing skills and confidence that will set you up for a stellar career in other areas; either way it is a great opportunity.
