Sales Territory Manager - Veterinary - Support Office

We are passionate about animal care and operate several key business areas; over 500 vet surgeries, laboratories, pet crematoria, a veterinary equipment and supplies business and a successful online business. We currently have an excellent opportunity for you to join us as a Territory Manager, where you will be responsible for managing and developing a customer base covering the South/South East of England & East Anglia.

 

In the role, you will report into our UK Sales Manager and will be responsible for providing solutions for a diverse range of customers across your territory. As well as delivering customer demos & training and attending trade shows when required. In the role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting, promoting and selling products & services, using solid arguments, to existing and prospective customers
  • Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to best meet their needs
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction
  • Analysing your territory/markets potential, tracking sales and providing status reports
  • Keeping abreast of best practice & promotional trends and ensuring the continuous improvement of our service through customer feedback

To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge/skills/qualifications and attributes:

  • Proven experience either within veterinary/medical sales OR within a veterinary environment and possessing clinical understanding and knowledge – such as a veterinary nurse or veterinary surgeon
  • High motivation and a drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to create and deliver presentations and solutions tailored to your audiences needs
  • Relationship management skills and an openness to improving through feedback

Location: In the role, you will be home based with regular travel to customer's across the South/South East and East Anglia. A typical week will involve 1 day at home and 4 days out at customer locations. There will also be some occasional travel to trade shows and company meetings throughout the year.
