Part Time Receptionist - Clarendon House Veterinary Group

Clarendon House is a small animal practice based in Galleywood Chelmsford with a second branch surgery situated in Heybridge, Maldon. At Clarendon House we have a commitment to continuous investment both in our surgeries and equipment, and in the training and further education of our staff. We are also an approved Training Centre for veterinary nurses.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team here at Clarendon House Veterinary Group!


This is a permanent part time role working 30 hours per week across Monday-Friday, there is a share in the weekend rota which would be 1 in 6 full weekends. You would then have time off in lieu the following week for weekend worked.


You will be working with our friendly and supportive team at our Galleywood practice, however there may be requirement to work at out Heybridge site on occasion so a driving licence will be required.


As a receptionist you will provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to our clients and their animals.  You will need to be able to work well within a team, sometimes under high pressure.


Previous veterinary receptionist experience would be preferable but not essential.


Main duties would include:

  • Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests.
  • Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking payments and dealing with enquiries.
  • Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system, so good IT skills would be preferable.
  • Cleaning duties are involved.
