HR Administrator (6 Month FTC) - Support Services

 

At CVS we are one of the largest integrated veterinary groups in Europe with a turnover in excess of £500M, more than 7500 employees and 500 veterinary practice sites across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Alongside veterinary practices, we also operate pet crematoria, laboratories, a distribution centre, an online business and buying groups.

 

We're currently seeking an experienced HR Administrator on a 6 month Fixed-Term Contract basis with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week. This role is a hybrid opportunity, working 2 days in the office in Diss and 3 days from home.

 

Key duties include:

  • Managing HR inbox
  • Dealing with queries via telephone and email
  • Sending out references of employment
  • Answering basic absence/holidays related queries – escalating more complex issues to Managers and HR Business Partners
  • Note-taking in team meetings
  • Ensuring resource link is updated with ER activity and relevant documents are uploaded timely
  • Supporting leaver process – log leavers on audit, issue and send acknowledgement letter
  • Supporting probation process
  • Ensuring appropriate security for all HR related information
  • Build and maintain good working relationship with payroll colleagues
  • Answer queries and assist employees with the employee self-service portal (MiCVS)

 

Key requirements include:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels
  • Interpersonal skills with experience of interaction with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to organise and manage time effectively, prioritising own workload to meet deadlines
  • A professional, confident and pleasant manner with a strong work ethic
  • Conscientious with an ability to be flexible and multi-task
  • Great customer service delivery at all levels
  • Must be competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
