General Manager – Greenacres Pet & Equine Crematorium - Greenacres Pet Crematorium

Our Crematorium Division is vital to our success and provides services to hundreds of veterinary practices and thousands of pet owners across the UK every year.

We currently have an excellent opportunity to join us as General Manager for Greenacres Pet & Equine Crematorium in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients are treated with dignity, respect and compassion and that they receive an efficient, dignified service that focuses on their needs.

Alongside side this you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the site, staff development, ensuring regulatory and compliance best practice is adhered to and for marketing the crematorium to prospective veterinary practices.

To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge/skills/qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified to WAMITAB Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent) or evidence of participation in a current course in order that a diploma (or equivalent qualification) is obtained.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare waste transfer station and/or treatment facility in an operational management capacity or
  • Experience of working in an animal by-products incineration or pet crematorium business in a management capacity
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Highly proactive and driven to succeed
  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Results driven and possessing a proven track record of delivering against targets
