Dyfed Farm Vets - Carmarthen

Farm Vet required in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales

Do you want to join a friendly, supportive and forward thinking team?

Would you like to be part of our practice's exciting expansion plans?

Due to the recent acquisition by CVS of Market Hall Vets we have an opportunity for an experienced Farm Vet to join our dedicated farm team here at Carmarthen, working for the newly launched Dyfed Farm Vets.  The role would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (graduate position is also available) and will involve working with our dairy, beef and sheep clients. In addition to a varied medical and surgical caseload, there will be ample opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their clinical interests in areas such dairy fertility, herd and flock health planning and advanced breeding.

Our practice is located within the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire South West Wales, stretching from Carmarthen Bay in the south to the western Breacons and Cambrian Mountains, with close access to many coastlines. If you are looking for a break from the norm a fantastic opportunity awaits.

We offer excellent long-term career opportunities, whether your aspirations are towards specific clinical expertise or towards working alongside the management team to develop the business. You will be working within a supportive team. This position offers you the opportunity to see and work on specialist cases aside from the norm.  Supported by a dedicated team of vets, administrators and management you will be encouraged to attend generously funded CPD and have the opportunity to specialise should you wish.

The position is full time across 4.5 days with an equal share in the OOH rota (currently 1 in 6), however, part time hours may be considered.

You will need to be RCVS registered to apply for this role.

In return we offer

  • A comprehensive bonus and pension scheme
  • Fully funded CPD
  • Up to 8 weeks holiday + Bank Holidays' with our Buy and Sell Holiday Scheme
