Due to rapid growth of our hospital, we have an exciting opportunity for a specialist criticalist (ACVECC or ECVECC diplomate or a residency trained/board eligible individual, registered with the RCVS and eligible to work in the UK) to join our emergency critical care team on a full or part-time basis.
Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is a large specialist-led multidisciplinary referral hospital situated just outside Alton, Hampshire, UK; providing veterinary referral services across the South of England including London, the South Coast and the Thames Valley. The hospital is an ISFM gold feline clinic and was awarded the BVHA design award for an outstanding working environment. We are a partner of the University Surrey Veterinary Program for those with an interest in undergraduate teaching. LPVS is part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK; the referrals division currently operates nine referral hospitals across the UK and Ireland.
Our experienced diplomate led teams of Surgery, Neurology, Medicine, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Radiology and Ophthalmology (22 referral clinicians) is fully supported by experienced nurses (including ECC VTS), radiographers and a physiotherapist, 8 interns and active residency programs in neurology, surgery and internal medicine.
You will join our brilliant team of one boarded criticalist and one advanced practitioner in ECC, supported by six rotating interns and a team of skilled veterinary nurses. It is an exciting time to join us with a new ICU for 2021, facilities include a Mindray SV300 ICU ventilator, HFNO, climate-controlled oxygen cage and access to on-site MRI, CT, and fluoroscopy.
We offer a 4-day working week (40 hours), on call only 3 in 10 weeknights with 1 in 4 weekends and an exceptional remuneration package including six weeks holiday pro rata, generous CPD allowance, generous contributory pension, private healthcare and a competitive salary commensurate with experience, amongst many other benefits such as prolonged sick pay, income protection and life assurance.
