Director of Learning, Education & Development - Support Services

Alongside veterinary practices, we operate pet crematoria, laboratories, a distribution centre, an expanding online business and buying groups. 

 

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as Director of Learning, Education & Development (LED), where you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the Learning, Education and Development Team, who are responsible for the creation and delivery of the learning portfolio for CVS.

 

In the role, you will be responsible for maintaining the LED framework and further developing and bringing to life the strategy to continue to develop knowledge, skills and behavioural capabilities across all levels at CVS. This involves the continuous identification of learning needs, reflection on feedback and iterative creation and improvement of state-of-the art learning opportunities and their delivery. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify learning needs and work with content experts from all CVS divisions and external providers to create and deliver industry relevant learning resources for internal consumption and external sale.

 

To be successful in the role, you will be/ will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience contributing to a collegiate atmosphere within a multi-disciplinary and diverse team, using a coaching leadership style
  • Proven experience working efficiently with various stakeholders of different backgrounds and with different agendas to support the best possible outcomes
  • Demonstrable and practical knowledge and experience of all elements of the training cycle
  • A proven track record of design and implementation of learning programmes with evidence of a blended approach to education
  • Proven experience successfully accrediting education programmes with external bodies
  • Experienced of budget management
  • MRCVS preferred but not essential

Location – In the role, you will be home based with travel to our Service Centres in Diss, Norfolk and Wetherby, West Yorkshire, along with travel to other sites for key internal and external meetings as required. (NB: dependant to Covid restrictions, the role may initially be home-based only).
