When I joined CVS in 2009 as a Head Nurse at The Village Animal Hospital, my goal was to have a greater influence on what happened in my practice – from the care of patients and clients to the equipment and services available.

Within a year I had the opportunity to move into a Practice Manager role and was proud to win the CVS Practice Manager of the year award in 2011! Then in 2012 I completed the internal Aspirational Leadership Programme, which gave me the confidence to apply for Regional Director role. I am now the Regional Director for the Surrey & Sussex region and a total of 19 sites.

I really enjoy supporting my team to develop and grow their practices by encouraging them to expand their clinical knowledge and look for ways to excel at client care. Being part of a support network that helps colleagues achieve their goals is so rewarding.

From my own experience, the opportunity at CVS has been brilliant – whatever direction you want your career to take. As a student nurse at 18 little did I think I would be where I am now and I am proud of my achievements and proud to be part of CVS.
